PBSC helps not-for-profit organizations provide legal services and information to underserved communities and clients. PBSC does not provide legal services to individuals. Allard Law offers a range of experiential offerings, including clinical and outpatient programs, as well as moot court competitions. You can learn practical skills and solve problems in a supervised environment. LSLAP helps low-income people living in the Greater Vancouver Area resolve a variety of legal issues. They can also provide representation and help prepare certain types of legal documents. The LSLAP program is led by law students from the University of British Columbia. Students provide free legal advice and representation to low-income clients on a variety of topics, including criminal law, tort, residential tenancy, human rights and employment. The clinics operate in community centres in the Lower Mainland. LSLAP`s summer program runs from May to August.
Rise provides legal services in family law and immigration for applications for permanent residence on humanitarian and compassionate grounds. The Greater Vancouver Law Students` Legal Advice Society is led by law students from the University of British Columbia`s Faculty of Law. The Society`s LSLAP program provides free legal advice and representation to people who otherwise cannot afford legal aid. The clinics operate in community centres in the Lower Mainland. The Indigenous Community Legal Clinic provides free legal representation to people eligible for legal aid who have a legal problem that falls under the jurisdiction of British Columbia`s provincial courts. Please note that we do not provide full legal representation in Supreme Court cases. The Rise Women`s Legal Centre provides unbundled legal services, primarily in family law, to self-identified women. Legal services such as spousal and child support, guardianship and property division are provided by trained and supervised law students at the Allard School of Law Gordon Neighborhood House Gordon Neighborhood House ICLC provides advice, support and representation to eligible clients who cannot afford a lawyer and who identify as Aboriginal.
